Foshan has solid industrial foundation, and has formed the industrial development pattern composed of such ten preponderant industries as household appliances, equipment manufacturing, electronic and information technology, ceramic materials, metal processing and metallic products and emerging industries including auto parts, biomedical and advanced display units. The output of micro-wave ovens in Foshan accounts for 48.6% of that of China .1 in the world. Output of fridges and air conditioners in Foshan takes up 80% and 50% of the province’s total respectively. Yield of camera in the city takes up 15% of the world’s total and output of ceramic machineries accounts for 85% of that of the whole country.
